There are a few post-doc positions currently (as of Jan 27, 2021) available in our group for the following projects:
A: Modelling and simulations of structural and physical changes caused by polymer scission in the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research on Innovative Areas (B) “Precise degradation science of polymer materials and polymer chains.”
B: Modelling and simulations of polymer gels in the JST-CREST program “Elucidation of the mechanism of robust toughening of gels and development of artificial tendons and ligaments.”
Candidates with some skills and experience in computational and theoretical researches are highly welcome. Candidates who have some experience in soft-matter science (even experimental) will also be considered.
The annual salary, including tax, is approximately 4 million JPY (ca. 38,000 USD, which is comparable to the average annual household income in Japan), but it depends on the candidate’s age and career.
Both contracts are for one year. However, it can be extended up to March 2023 (project A) and March 2025 (project B).

増渕研では特任助教の募集を行っています．
１． 募集人員： 特任助教２名
A １名: 科研費学術変革領域研究(B)「高分子材料と高分子鎖の精密分解科学」 において，高分子切断の引き起こす構造変化と物性変化のシミュレーションに取り組んでいただける方．
B １名: JST-CREST研究「ゲルのロバスト強靱化機構の解明と人工腱・靱帯の開発」 において，高分子ゲルのモデル化と数値シミュレーションに取り組んでいただける⽅．
２． 任期： いずれも1年 ただし上記Aは最長で2023年3月，Bは最長で2025年３月までそれぞれ延長可能です
３． 所属： 物質科学専攻レオロジー物理工学研究グループ（http://rheology.jp/nagoya/）
４． 応募資格：
(ア) 博士の学位を有する方（着任までに取得見込みの方を含みます）
(イ) 畝山多加志准教授，増渕雄一教授と協力してモデリングや数値シミュレーションを展開する意欲があれば，応募者のこれまでの研究分野は問いません．高分子科学の分野での研究経験，または理論物理等の分野でプログラミングやシミュレーションの経験がある方の応募を歓迎します．
