The famous application is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.d3o.com\/\">d3o<\/a> and mainly for sports. The other famous example is the <a href=\"http:\/\/science.howstuffworks.com\/liquid-body-armor1.htm\">STF<\/a> for military usage. <\/p>\n<p>Several years back, I was told by a researcher that shear thickening property is not that useful in comparison to shear thinning property.
