webpage for the research group on the physics of rheology, Nagoya University, Japan. The research topics in this group are dynamics and structure of soft matters, mainly from the viewpoint of physics, using experimental, theoretical, and computational techniques. In other words, we are doing the science of gunky matters. There are lots of matters that are something between liquid and solid. For instance, toothpaste, lipstick, cream, etc. These materials are so-called soft-matters, and the science for the dynamics of soft-matters is rheology. Rheology is an interdisciplinary science related to mechanical engineering, chemistry, food industry, biology, etc. In this group, we do physic of rheology, not only from a fundamental viewpoint but also for industrial applications.
